Product Review - Fiber One Raisin Bran Clusters

First of all, let me say that I've never been a big fan of raisin bran cereals. I'm more of a Frosted Flakes or a Lucky Charms kind of gal. Therefore, when I received a free box of Fiber One Raisin Bran Clusters to try, I wasn't really expecting much.

This new cereal from General Mills is made with whole grains with over 40% of the daily value of fiber (11 grams per serving). It also claims to be #1 in fiber among the leading raisin brans. I decided to give it a try.

Out of the box, it looks like your average raisin bran. However, I noticed that the flakes had a smooth texture which would probably make it easier to eat. It could have had more raisins, though. I love raisins.

Surprisingly, the taste was actually pretty good. I was expecting bland but the lightly sweetened wheat & bran flakes really stood out. Not bad at all. In addition, considering that I can never finish a meal in one sitting without the kids needing something, this cereal stayed pretty crunchy as it sat there in a pool of milk. Any cereal that can do that gets a "thumbs up" from me!

But don't take my word for it, try it yourself!
